Wheelchair Rugby Canada Announces Teams Selected to Attend the 2014 Japan Wheelchair Rugby Invitational

(Ottawa, ON) – Wheelchair Rugby Canada is proud to announce the athletes who have been selected to attend the 2014 Japan Para Wheelchair Rugby Invitational in Chiba, Japan from Oct. 10 – 12. Canada will split into two teams and will play against top wheelchair rugby players from around the world. Both teams are a mix of established national team athletes and up-and-coming talent.

“This tournament is an important one for Team Canada because it will allow us to see some of up-and-coming athletes in action and give some of our current national team members leadership opportunities,” said Head Coach Kevin Orr. “The athletes who will be traveling to Japan represent the next generation of Canada wheelchair rugby.”
