(Ottawa, ON) – Wheelchair Rugby Canada launched its official Coach Education Pathway today. The pathway formally lays out the steps that a beginning coach must take to become certified in wheelchair rugby. It also clarifies how developmental coaches can progress to the high-performance level.
“Wheelchair Rugby Canada’s goal is to be at the forefront of coach education and this pathway is a great step in that direction,” said Wheelchair Rugby Canada High Performance Director Andy Van Neutegem. “Our goal is to ensure that every athlete – whether they’re living in BC or New Brunswick – has access to a trained, knowledgeable coach.”
