Kevin Orr to Be Inducted into the NWBA Intercollegiate Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Team Canada head coach Kevin Orr on his upcoming induction into the 2015 National Wheelchair Basketball Association Intercollegiate Hall of Fame. Before he became a wheelchair rugby coach, Orr won four intercollegiate national championships with the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. He also won two bronze medals in wheelchair racing at the 1988 Seoul Paralympic Games.

“Kevin has long been recognized for his many coaching achievements, so it’s exciting to see that his athletic accomplishments are also being celebrated,” said CWSA CEO Cathy Cadieux. “Kevin’s background as an elite athlete has helped him to become the coach he is today."

Orr will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during halftime of a University of Illinois game on the weekend of Feb. 12 – 13th.
