Al Semeniuk Inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame

The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame announced today that long-time wheelchair rugby national team member Al Semeniuk will be one of their 2013 inductees. Some of Al's many athletic accomplishments include:

  • Being a member of Saskatchewan's provincial team from 1987 - 2006
  • Being a member of the Canadian national team from 1991 - 2005.
  • Winning three World Championship medals, including a gold (2004), a silver (1998) and a bronze (2002).
  • Participating in three Paralympic Games, winning two silver medals in 1996 and 2004.
  • Winning five gold medals in Canadian National Championships.
  • Being named MVP at the Canadian National Championships in 2002 and 2004.

Congratulations to Al! He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a ceremony on June 15th.
